Some information about venues

William Aiken House:

Middleton Place:

The height of the tent is approximately 18 ft. There are 4 horizontal metal beams (slightly lower - maybe 16 ft?) from which to hang things. Beams are Navi-trac beams. Purple Magnolia has 6 brackets if need to attach anything to the highest central beam.

Birdbath in octagonal gardens: approximately 2 ft in diameter

Legare Waring House:

Lowndes Grove:

LG Tent dimensions:

River Tent-53x74

Side Tent-32x41

Country Club of Charleston:

*Occasionally will allow for next morning pickup

Creek Club at I’On:

Height of 4 brown ceiling beams?

Length of mantel: 10.5’x9.5”

Cooper River Room: Mantle 8ft

Old Wide Awake:

The Island House:

Chandeliers (3): The lower part of chandeliers (3) can be reached with a 6-foot ladder. If you need to hang greenery on chain-holding chandeliers, probably will need at least a 10 ft ladder per Purple Magnolia.

Tree: Watched a company drape the tree with fabric. Their 12 ft ladder reached almost to the left overhanging limb. This is the best guestimate, but I think 12 ft on both sides and 12 ft across. Then I would add in some footage for swag, staking/weighing either side to ground, and some give in the fabric to allow for the wind (about an additional 10 ft maybe?) so a total of approx 47 ft of fabric - maybe more just to be safe. Again, this is a best guess based on watching someone else do it per Purple Magnolia.

Alhambra Hall:

Runnymeade Plantation:

Hibernian Hall:

Stage: 35 Feet Long

Rotunda: Each section between columns is 76 inches, there are 8 sections. An 8-foot garland should swag perfectly, gathered once in the middle. You can loosely wrap 65- 75 feet around the entire railing.

Each Stair Rail: Measuring from the top floor: Section 1: 10 feet, Section 2: 9 feet, Section 3: 12 Feet

*Can only do one side of the railing

*Must use floral wire or zip ties to not damage paint

Per Kerrie Schmidt kerrie.schmidt@yahoo.com as of Nov 2023- Candles are ONLY allowed on tabletops (not on the mantles, stairs (interior or exterior), dance floor, or stage). Garland can be on both sides as long as the cap of the banister is left exposed on at least one side so people can hold on to the railing. Nothing can be touching or hanging from any of the chandeliers or portraits. Nothing can be attached to the walls or building interior or exterior (no tape, command hooks, glue, nails or screws).

Lake House at Bulow:

Boone Hall:

Fireplace: 12 feet long

Main doors (near fireplace): 8 ft height, 4 ft length, 6.5 inches width

Back wall hiding restroom entrance: 8 ft height, 19 ft length, 2 inches width ~ There are several nails along the top of this wall. Best to bring a staple gun.

Top of beams: You will need at least a 12 ft ladder to reach these per Purple Magnolia.

Upstairs at Midtown

Space between windows on outside deck is little over 4 ft. There is a nail at the top inside corner of these window frames.
